Perma Jack of St. Louis
Code of Ethics, Professional Standards & Customer Commitment
Since 1974

For more than 52 years, Perma Jack of St. Louis has built its reputation through honesty, technical expertise, accountability, and respect for the people we serve. Since 1974, homeowners, businesses, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and facility owners have trusted our company to provide long-term foundation and waterproofing solutions for some of their most important investments.

Perma Jack pioneered the foundation repair industry by inventing and patenting the first remedial steel pier stabilization system in 1975. That innovation helped establish the technical standards upon which our company continues to operate today. However, our reputation was not built by patents alone. It was built through ethical conduct, quality workmanship, honest communication, and standing behind our commitments decade after decade.

Much of the work we perform is hidden beneath the soil, beneath concrete, or behind finished walls. Because of that, trust is not simply important to our business; it is the foundation of our business.

This document establishes the ethical principles, professional standards, and customer commitments that guide every employee, representative, and leader of Perma Jack of St. Louis.

1. We Do the Right Thing

We believe ethics matter most when no one is watching.

Every employee and representative of Perma Jack of St. Louis is expected to conduct themselves with honesty, professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times. We will never knowingly mislead a customer, exaggerate structural conditions, conceal important information, or recommend unnecessary repairs.

Customers often contact us during stressful situations involving their homes, businesses, structural movement, or water intrusion. They rely on our expertise and judgment. That trust must be earned through truthful communication and ethical conduct.

Our expectation is simple:

  • Do the right thing
  • Practice kindness
  • Treat others with dignity and respect
  • Take pride in your work
  • Honor your commitments
  • Protect the reputation of the company
  • Leave every customer and property in a better position than when we arrived

We believe long-term trust is more valuable than short-term gain.

2. We Put Safety First

The safety of our employees, customers, and the public is one of our highest responsibilities.

Perma Jack of St. Louis is committed to maintaining safe jobsites, proper equipment operation, continuous employee training, and compliance with OSHA and industry safety standards.

Every field employee is required to maintain a minimum OSHA 10 Construction certification. Employees who operate company vehicles must also obtain and maintain a valid Missouri Class E driver’s license.

In addition, Perma Jack of St. Louis conducts weekly company-wide safety meetings with all crew members. These meetings reinforce safe work practices, review procedures, discuss jobsite hazards, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Every employee has both the authority and responsibility to stop unsafe work conditions when necessary.

No production goal, deadline, or financial objective is more important than protecting people.

3. We Operate with Technical Integrity

Perma Jack of St. Louis was founded on engineering-driven solutions and technical expertise—not shortcuts, gimmicks, or one-size-fits-all recommendations.

Every structure is different. Ethical repair recommendations require experience, training, proper analysis, and honest judgment.

We are committed to:

  • Recommending solutions based on actual structural conditions
  • Designing repairs that address root causes rather than symptoms alone
  • Following engineering requirements and manufacturer standards
  • Using quality materials made in America and proven installation methods
  • Providing accurate and honest evaluations
  • Clearly explaining the purpose and limitations of repair systems
  • Never exaggerating conditions to create fear or pressure
  • Never recommending work that is unnecessary

We believe foundation and waterproofing solutions should be based on facts, engineering, and long-term performance, not emotional sales tactics.

Perma Jack of St. Louis does not provide speculative “ballpark” pricing or repair estimates over the phone without a proper on-site evaluation. Every structure, soil condition, drainage condition, and repair scenario is different. Providing pricing without a thorough analysis would not be accurate or responsible.

Our no-cost inspections are designed to provide customers with a properly evaluated solution and a clear, written proposal based on the actual conditions present at the property.

4. Honest Pricing & Ethical Sales Practices

Foundation and waterproofing problems are serious structural matters that affect the safety, stability, and value of a property. Because of that, we refuse to treat this industry like a retail sales promotion.

Perma Jack of St. Louis does not offer:

  • Closing incentives
  • High-pressure sales tactics
  • Time-sensitive discounts
  • Artificial “today only” pricing
  • Inflated pricing designed to later appear discounted
  • Misleading promotional gimmicks

Instead, we provide honest, upfront pricing based on a thorough jobsite evaluation and the actual scope of work required.

Our recommendations are based strictly on what the structure requires—nothing more and nothing less.

We will never suggest work that is unnecessary.

Our goal is long-term structural stability and customer trust, not high-pressure sales tactics.

We believe customers should make informed decisions based on facts, engineering, experience, and trust—not pressure.

5. We Communicate Honestly and Professionally

Clear communication builds confidence and trust.

We strive to communicate with customers, coworkers, suppliers, engineers, inspectors, and business partners in a respectful, transparent, and professional manner at all times.

This includes:

  • Explaining repair processes in understandable terms
  • Returning calls and responding promptly
  • Setting realistic expectations
  • Providing clear written proposals
  • Addressing concerns responsibly
  • Admitting mistakes when they occur
  • Treating every customer and employee with dignity and respect

Professionalism is measured not only by the quality of our work, but also by how we treat people throughout the process.

6. We Respect Our Customers’ Homes and Property

We recognize that we are guests on our customers’ property.

Employees are expected to:

  • Maintain clean and organized jobsites
  • Protect floors, landscaping, and personal property
  • Use proper dust and debris protection when appropriate
  • Minimize unnecessary disruption whenever possible
  • Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully
  • Leave projects in a condition that reflects pride in our workmanship

Attention to detail, cleanliness, and respect for property are essential parts of quality service.

7. We Stand Behind Our Work

Perma Jack of St. Louis has built its reputation by honoring its commitments.

When ownership of the company changed on September 1, 2021, Perma Jack of St. Louis continued honoring valid warranty obligations from prior ownership because standing behind our work is part of our identity and responsibility to our customers.

We believe warranties are not marketing tools—they are commitments.

We are committed to:

  • Addressing legitimate warranty concerns responsibly
  • Supporting customers after projects are completed
  • Maintaining accountability and project records
  • Acting fairly and professionally when resolving concerns
  • Standing behind our workmanship and systems

Many of our repair systems include transferable warranty coverage. Fixed-term warranties and applicable extended manufacturer warranties remain in effect for their full stated term even if the property is sold during that period. Property owners are not required to pay transfer fees or notify our company of ownership changes for those warranties to remain valid.

We believe honoring our commitments should be straightforward, transparent, and customer-focused.

Long-term trust matters more than short-term convenience.

8. We Invest in Our Employees and Company Culture

Our employees are the face of Perma Jack of St. Louis and are critical to our long-term success.

We believe strong culture creates strong results.

Perma Jack of St. Louis utilizes trained W-2 employees rather than subcontract installation crews so we can maintain consistent standards, accountability, safety, communication, and workmanship.

We believe investing in our employees strengthens our company, improves customer service, and supports long-term career development. Perma Jack of St. Louis provides benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and paid sick time because we believe our employees and their families deserve stability, support, and respect.

Every employee deserves:

  • Respect
  • Fair treatment
  • A safe work environment
  • Proper training
  • Opportunities for growth
  • Honest leadership
  • Clear expectations and accountability

We encourage teamwork, professionalism, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship.

We also believe leadership is service. Our responsibility as leaders is to support our employees so they can succeed professionally and personally.

As a company, we strive to live by a simple philosophy:

  • Do the right thing
  • Practice kindness
  • Enjoy every moment

9. We Support Our Community

Perma Jack of St. Louis believes successful businesses have a responsibility to support the communities that support them.

These affiliations include memberships with the National Association of REALTORS®, Missouri REALTORS®, St. Louis REALTORS®, the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce, and the Central West End Association.

We believe strong communities are built through service, generosity, and long-term commitment.

Every interaction reflects on the reputation built by this company since 1974.

Employees are expected to:

  • Represent the company professionally
  • Avoid dishonest or unethical conduct
  • Protect confidential customer and company information
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Comply with applicable laws, permits, regulations, and licensing requirements
  • Conduct business in a manner that strengthens trust in both our company and the foundation industry as a whole

A reputation takes decades to build and moments to damage.

We take seriously the responsibility of protecting the trust placed in our company by customers and the St. Louis community for more than five decades.

11. Accountability & Continuous Improvement

Mistakes can happen in any business. What defines a company is how it responds.

At Perma Jack of St. Louis, accountability means:

  • Taking ownership of our actions=
  • Correcting problems responsibly
  • Learning from mistakes
  • Continuously improving our systems, training, communication, and workmanship
  • Remaining open to better methods and safer practices

Excuses do not build trust. Accountability does.
